ThyssenKrupp Elevator (Indonesia) was established in 2005 as a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Elevator. To serve the growing Indonesian market, ThyssenKrupp Elevator acquired the elevator business of PT. Pura Kencana, an agent of Dongyang Elevator (now ThyssenKrupp Dongyang Elevator) since 1988. The newly setup company could profit from an experienced team, a matured service portfolio and a good reputation which helped ThyssenKrupp Elevator (Indonesia) to gain a respectable market presence within a short time.
Already in it's first year, ThyssenKrupp Elevator (Indonesia) installed many elevators and escalators of high quality in various large projects around the country, including: Margo City Mall in Depok City, Bandung Electronic Mall in Bandung City, Kapas Krampung Commercial Center in Surabaya City, and Menara Kuningan in Jakarta where ThyssenKrupp Elevator Indonesia introduced the Destination Selection Control (DSC) System with intelligent traffic analysis to increase the handling capacity of the 30-floor tower's vertical transportation system.
